Shushtar County (Persian: شهرستان شوشتر) is in Khuzestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Shushtar.[3]
Demographics
Population
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 182,282 in 37,656 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 191,444 people in 45,360 households.[5] At the 2016 census, the county's population was 192,028 in 50,878 households,[2] by which time Miyan Ab Rural District and Miyan Ab-e Shomali Rural District had been separated from the Central District in the establishment of Miyan Ab District.[6]
