Pitrilizin (EC 3.4.24.55, Escherichia coli proteaza III, proteaza Pi, proteinaza Pi, PTR, Escherichia coli metaloproteinaza Pi) je enzim.[1][2][3][4][5] Ovaj enzim katalizuje sledeću hemijsku reakciju
- Preferentno razlaganje -Tyr16-Leu- i -Phe25-Tyr- veza oksidovanog lanca insulina B. Takođe deluje na druge supstrate sa masom manjom od 7 kDa, kao što su insulin i glukagon
Ovaj enzim je prisutan u bakteriji Escherichia coli.
