Ovaj enzim je flavoprotein (FMN, FAD) koji sadrži FMN i FAD. Broj n u jednačini je 1 ako hemoprotein podleže dvoelektronskoj redukciji, a njegova vrednost je 2 pri jednoelektronskoj redukciji.
