Gastriksin (EC 3.4.23.3, pepsin C, pig parapepsin II, parapepsin II) je enzim.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

Gastriksin je asparaginska proteinaza koja pripada A1 skupini peptidaza. Kodirani protein je probavni enzim koji se proizvodi u želucu i predstavlja važnu komponentu sluznice želuca. Ovaj protein se također luči u serum.

Sintetizira se kao inaktivni zimogen u kojem je uključen visoko osnovni prosegment. Ovaj enzim se pri niskom pH pretvara u svoj aktivni zreli oblik, i to uzastopnim cijepanjem prosegmenta koje izvodi enzim sam.
