De slankpootvliegen (Dolichopodidae) zijn een familie uit de onderorde van vliegen. Wereldwijd zijn er ongeveer 7500 soorten bekend.[1] Het zijn kleine tot middelgrote vliegen met een lichaamslengte van 1,5 tot 7,5 millimeter.
