Charles Avery (28 Mei 1873 – 23 Julai 1926) merupakan pelakon, pengarah dan penulis skrip Amerika Syarikat era filem senyap. Avery dilahirkan sebagai Charles Avery Bradford di Chicago, Illinois.

Avery memulakan kerjayanya sebagai pelakon teater menerusi pementasan Charley's Aunt.^[3]^[4] Dari tahun 1908 sehingga 1909, beliau telah muncul dalam 33 buah filem pendek arahan D. W. Griffith, kebanyakan sebagai pelakon pembantu dan bersama Mack Sennett.

Pada tahun 1913, beliau mula menjadi pengarah. dan Across the Alley menjadi filem pertama arahan beliau. Beliau meninggalkan pengarahan pada tahun 1920-an dan kembali memegang peranan dalam filem-filem bajet rendah seperti The Rambling Ranger dan Western Rover

Pada 23 Julai 1926, Avery ditemui mati di kediamannya di Los Angeles ^[5] dan kematiannya diklasifikasikan sebagai bunuh diri.
