  • Ensimmäisen vironkielinen Raamattu ilmestyi nimellä Piibli Ramat. Sen kääntäjänä oli Anton thor Helle.
  • Henry Brooken näytelmä Gustavus Vasa kiellettiin Britanniassa vuoden 1737 Licensing Act -lain nojalla.[1]
  • The Scots Magazine alkoi ilmestyä.
