”Kill the King” on Rainbow-yhtyeen kappale, joka julkaistiin ensimmäisen kerran live-versiona albumilla On Stage (1977). Kyseinen versio julkaistiin samana vuonna myös 12-tuumaisena maxi-singlenä,[2] jolloin se nousi Britannian singlelistalla sijalle 44.[3] Kappaleen studioversio ilmestyi vuotta myöhemmin albumilla Long Live Rock ’n’ Roll. Kappaleen ovat kirjoittaneet yhteistyössä Ritchie Blackmore, Ronnie James Dio ja Cozy Powell.[2]

Vaikka kappaleen sanoituksia on pidetty väkivaltaisina, niiden kirjoittaja Ronnie James Dio on väittänyt laulun kertovan shakkipelistä.[4]

Vuonna 1981 ”Kill the King” julkaistiin uudelleen singlenä. Tuolloin se pääsi Britanniassa listasijalle 41.[5]
