Los bírridos (Byrrhidae) son una familia de coleópteros en la superfamilia Byrrhoidea.[1] Estos escarabajos son habitantes comunes de los bosques del hemisferio norte. Se alimentan principalmente de musgo. Sus poblaciones crecen inmediatamente tras los incendios forestales.[2]
