Cortland is an unincorporated community in eastern Hamilton Township, Jackson County, Indiana, United States. It lies along State Road 258, northwest of the city of Seymour.[2] Although Cortland is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 47228.[3]
History
The Cortland post office was established in 1850.[4] Cortland was named after Cortland, New York.[5]
Cortland used to be the home of the Jackson County Rodeo.
